The second round started, and I was a little bit nervous. Some of my friends made it to the second round. It was my turn, and I was nervous that my team would lose. The questions were a little bit harder, but my team prevailed. I answered both questions and got them right. One of my team members said she wanted to answer the next question, but I said no because she doesn't pay attention.
I saw two groups get eliminated and some of my friends were on those teams. The third round started, and I was even more nervous than before. My team was next and we were all nervous. I was going against my friends.

American and Asian lives differ greatly. Even schools are completely different in Asia. What are some differences? In Asia families have completely different points of view. They encourage their kids to do well in school (like us), but when the child does something good the family will have the child realize why it was good. Most American families would just say good job. Which method is better? In my opinion the Asian way is better because unlike in America the child understands why it was something good. In America they just know it's good but do not know why.
It's the same thing in schools. One example Mr. Kimbley gave on his blog post was that a group of scientists gave an impossible question to a few American children and a few Asian children. The American children responded to the problem with "we haven't learned this yet". The Asian children worked for an hour to try to decipher the problem and never gave up. They would have kept working, but the scientists said the time was up. The Asian children never gave up.

I was a little bit nervous about the quiz bowl because some of my group members mess around and never pay attention. When it started, I watched as the other groups answered questions about what we learned. Then it was my groups turn. The first question was easy so I buzzed in and got the question right. The next question was also easy so I buzzed in and got the question right again. So we won the first round. We scored 10 points. Each question is worth 5 points and there are 3 questions.
As I saw the other groups go, I see some of my friends get eliminated on the first round. I was nervous for the second round.

Mr. Rizo was going to talk about different bachelor's degrees there were and how much money you can get. I always dream of getting all of the degrees including the P.HD. At the end of the lecture, Mr.Rizo gave us a quiz to see who was going to pass and get a scholarship. I was picked and I answered all the questions right. He gave me a scholarship. I looked inside and saw there was a 5 dollar bill in it.
After that we went to a room in the big building a we were about to have our quiz bowl. I was a little bit nervous.

When it was time to go back, we almost finished but we had one question to go. We had to go back to the auditorium. It was the end of the day and we had to leave. The leaders talked to use about what we were going to do the next day. So we said good-bye and the leaders gave us banners that had the mascot on it. The next day would be the fun day and the quiz bowl about what we learned at Fresno State.
The next day was the fun day because we had the quiz bowl and after that we would go to the arcade and the bowling ally. When we arrived, we went to a different building because they were going to talk to us about how to be successful in college. When I went in the room, I couldn't believe who it was. It was Mr.Rizo, a guy who used to work at my school. I was glad to see him because he was a friend to me.

In math class, we were reviewing strategies so that we can use them on the CST. We reviewed PEMDAS, integers, and operation words. After that we had lunch. This was my favorite part because the dining hall was filled with all kinds of different food. I ate till I couldn't eat anymore. After that we did a scavenger hunt.
The scavenger hunt was that we had to answer questions about Fresno State. The scavenger hunt is really hard because some of the questions we couldn't find last year. So my group and I were off. I really didn't like my group because it was full of people that didn't listen. So by the time we were at the halfway mark, we were almost finished.

When I was in sixth grade, I went to Fresno State to learn how to be successful in college and how to get a good career. I have been to Fresno State before and it was fun. When I arrived, the building in front was huge. They put us in our groups and we went to the auditorium. The leaders talked to us about what to do and where to go. The first thing my group had to was go to the ELA class in the building that we saw when we arrived. When my group and I arrived, the teachers were going to talk about what strategies to use on the ELA CST. I learned some new strategies that I didn't even know about.

The next class we went to was the math class. This is my favorite class because I love math.

In basketball, I have trying out for the team. It's really difficult, but I try my best. Sometimes I get overwhelmed because I don't get what there doing. Today the coaches are cutting people to see who is staying on the team. I am really nervous because I have made some mistakes that could get me cut.
This reminds me of when I made the team in 6th grade for basketball. I wanted to join basketball because I really loved it, so I joined. I really got nervous when I saw some of my friends who were more skillful than I was.

After that, we had a dance for our awesome behavior. In the dance, they served us brownies with milk. The dance was great and after the dance we had to go to sleep and it was our final day sleeping at camp. I really didn't want to leave, but I made our final day fun. We told scary stories and they were scarier than last time we slept. When I slept I thought I heard some noises and then one of my friends thought something had touched him so he slept with the cabin leader.
On the last day, we had breakfast and they told us we were going to have a quiz bowl. I knew what it was because I have played it before. I was the first one to be up and they asked us some easy questions. I won the first round and moved to the second round. My other friends moved on too. The next round was a little more difficult, but I won the round and moved on. Some of my friends lost. The next round I lost and I was pretty mad, but one of my friends moved on. I was rooting for him. After the all the rounds, he moved on to the final round. It was neck and neck and in the end he won.
My group cheered and screamed and we hugged him. His group got to pick the prize. Then the camp leaders said we all did a great job and every one got to pick a prize. I picked a Spongebob toy. After that we had lunch and it was time to say good-bye. They showed us a video about everything at camp and that brought some good memories. So we said good-bye and I wanted to cry because it was my last year at camp. I will always remember Camp Green Meadows and the wonderful camp leaders, but I will remember Oscar, the best cabin leader in the world!!!

So we sat at the camp fire and watched the other schools put on their skits and they were really good. It was our turn and I was really nervous that I was going to mess up. My friends had big parts in the skit and I only had a small part. Our skit was about a kid who couldn't decide what to watch on TV. After our skit, I thought my group did a good job, but one of our chaperones was really mad at us for messing up. Some people got in trouble because of it.
