Shotokan Karate
In P.E., we learned the basics of Shotokan Karate. Shotokan isn't really useful for self defense. I don't think anybody uses Shotokan karate for self defense. We learned how to incorporate moves into our kata. The kata is like a test where you test you moves. We used a patter called the I pattern where you kind of move like in an I pattern.
Shotokan has many different moves. In your kata, you are suppose to use 3 different blocks and 3 different strikes. There is also a specific pattern for moving. You use the I pattern for you kata. It was really difficult at first because you had to do many moves. The I pattern was the hardest of all the things in Shotokan.

dancing
In P.E., we are dancing. We learn different dances and dance with partners that are different genders. What I am learning are different dances. Some of the dances are Electric Slide, Salsa, and Waltz.. I really don't like dancing because sometimes the dances are hard and I'm not used to dancing with different genders. I don't even dance.
This reminds me of when I learned a new dance in the 6th grade. It was after school, and my instructor was teaching us a new dance. I really didn't like dancing. The dance was a Mexican dance, and I really hate Mexican dancing. The moves were really hard at first. After a while I got the hang of it, and it was really easy. I used this dance when I went to Camp Green Meadows. What I learned was how to dance these dances.

badminton
In P.E., we are doing badminton. Badminton is kind of like tennis, but played with a shuttlecock. What I learn is the basics of how to play badminton. Mr.Brown teaches my class and me how to hit, the formation, and the rules.
This reminds me of a time in fifth grade when I was taught the basics of soccer. My teacher taught my class the basics of soccer. I really didn't know how to play soccer so my teacher taught the class how to kick, pass, and how to play defense. To play badminton, we use a racquet and a shuttlecock. A badminton racquet is different than a tennis racquet because a badminton racquet is smaller than a tennis racquet.
