When I was in sixth grade, I went to Fresno State to learn how to be successful in college and how to get a good career. I have been to Fresno State before and it was fun. When I arrived, the building in front was huge. They put us in our groups and we went to the auditorium. The leaders talked to us about what to do and where to go. The first thing my group had to was go to the ELA class in the building that we saw when we arrived. When my group and I arrived, the teachers were going to talk about what strategies to use on the ELA CST. I learned some new strategies that I didn't even know about.

The next class we went to was the math class. This is my favorite class because I love math.

In basketball, I have trying out for the team. It's really difficult, but I try my best. Sometimes I get overwhelmed because I don't get what there doing. Today the coaches are cutting people to see who is staying on the team. I am really nervous because I have made some mistakes that could get me cut.
This reminds me of when I made the team in 6th grade for basketball. I wanted to join basketball because I really loved it, so I joined. I really got nervous when I saw some of my friends who were more skillful than I was.

After that, we had a dance for our awesome behavior. In the dance, they served us brownies with milk. The dance was great and after the dance we had to go to sleep and it was our final day sleeping at camp. I really didn't want to leave, but I made our final day fun. We told scary stories and they were scarier than last time we slept. When I slept I thought I heard some noises and then one of my friends thought something had touched him so he slept with the cabin leader.
On the last day, we had breakfast and they told us we were going to have a quiz bowl. I knew what it was because I have played it before. I was the first one to be up and they asked us some easy questions. I won the first round and moved to the second round. My other friends moved on too. The next round was a little more difficult, but I won the round and moved on. Some of my friends lost. The next round I lost and I was pretty mad, but one of my friends moved on. I was rooting for him. After the all the rounds, he moved on to the final round. It was neck and neck and in the end he won.
My group cheered and screamed and we hugged him. His group got to pick the prize. Then the camp leaders said we all did a great job and every one got to pick a prize. I picked a Spongebob toy. After that we had lunch and it was time to say good-bye. They showed us a video about everything at camp and that brought some good memories. So we said good-bye and I wanted to cry because it was my last year at camp. I will always remember Camp Green Meadows and the wonderful camp leaders, but I will remember Oscar, the best cabin leader in the world!!!

So we sat at the camp fire and watched the other schools put on their skits and they were really good. It was our turn and I was really nervous that I was going to mess up. My friends had big parts in the skit and I only had a small part. Our skit was about a kid who couldn't decide what to watch on TV. After our skit, I thought my group did a good job, but one of our chaperones was really mad at us for messing up. Some people got in trouble because of it.

After the zip line, I did some other activities that were really high too. I went to this one platform where there was a trapeze bar and you had to catch it and I was terrified because it was really high. After we did the risk taking stuff, we headed to camp for lunch. We had hamburgers that were really good. Then we had free time and my friends and I played basketball.
When we were finished, the leaders told us we had to put on a skit so we could show it to the other schools that were at the camp.

The next day was going to be fun because the leaders said we were going to have some fun, but they wouldn't tell us. So we first we got some breakfast and it was good. After that they told us to go outside and meet the leaders. They told us we were going to do some risk taking  activities. So we had to put on a harness and head to the forest. When I got there there were some platforms that were really high and I was scared.
They told us to follow directions or someone could get hurt and that was pretty obvious. The first thing I went on was the zip-line. When I got there, it was really high and I was scared that I was going to fall. Then when one of the leaders let me go, I was zipping down the zip line and was screaming.

On My Digital Life, we are learning how to be safe on the internet and how to use it. I learned about the how the computers work and all the different parts the help it run. It also taught us how to be safe on the internet. It told us not to text and drive and not to post photos of us showing our body. I really didn't know how the computer worked and how the parts worked.
The first topic was how the computer worked and how to choose the best computer for yourself. After that learned all the different parts of the computer and what they were about.

In sixth grade I had a great time at camp green meadows. last time I went was in fifth grade when it snowed. my friends and i went because it was fun in fifth grade. i  would recommend that you go to it because it is really fun. You get to go on a zip line, play games, and do a lot of stuff.
When we got there there was no snow, which was a bummer. We put our stuff in the cabins and headed for the cafeteria. we had dinner because it was a long drive. the next thing we did was head for the camp fire. what they did was put on little plays for us and they were funny. then we had free time and my friends and i played basketball. after that we went to sleep and our camp leader, Oscar, told scary stories. one of my friends started to cry.
the next day was the fun day because we were going to go on a zip-line.

My biggest fear about middle school was that it was going to be so difficult that I was going to fail. They say that middle school is going to be the hardest time of your life. I thought wasn't going to make it in school. Once I got used to the schedule and other stuff I felt normal. Even though middle school is going to be difficult I am going to try my best.
I was really scared that the teachers were going to be strict, but once you get to know them they're nice and funny. Even though middle school is going to be difficult, I will try my best.

Do you know someone who has been bullied? I have been bullied before. I was in 1st grade and there was a 6th grader who would bully me everyday. I finally had the courage one day to tell my teacher and the bullying stopped right away. I was really relieved that it stopped.
My advice to you is if you see someone being bullied, tell a teacher right away. If you do the right thing, it could really help that student. Don't just stand there and give them attention because a bully wants attention. Please do the right thing. I hope this advice has been helpful.
