Right after the show., we went more jellyfish. This time there were jellyfish that didn't move and just floated. I wondered why. Then when we were finish with the jellyfish room, we went to go eat. We had to walk a long why to get there. Then when we go there we saw our lunch, but we saw something else. There were birds in side the place that had our lunch.

    I guess that the birds were hungry to and wanted to eat our lunch. So we got our lunch and started eating. It was just a sandwich with fruit and cookies and milk. One of my friends decided to feed one of the birds the bread from our sandwich. It was a bad idea. All the birds started to make noise and fight over the sandwich.

    When I went on top to see the them, I could also see the people who work there giving them food. After that, we went to this really dark place. The lights weren't on, but you could see all kinds of fish and underwater creatures. I saw a school of fish swimming in the glass. They were swimming in a circle. Then we went to see the jellyfish. There were different kinds of jellyfish than just the ones you see on t.v. There were big jellyfish and little ones and ones with big stingers and ones with little stingers.

    After that, we went to a show where there were all kinds of fish and sharks and other things that do tricks. We sat down and watched the show. Then all of a sudden I see a huge school of fish eating some kind of shrimp. The person told us that the fish were being fed. Then I see this plus shape go into the water and then they fed the fish and the fish quickly ate all of the shrimp.

It was really cold outside. There wasn't any fog, just the sun. We went to a place where you could see the ocean. They had binoculars and I went to use them. I couldn't see anything until I moved the binoculars. Then I saw the beautiful ocean. We stayed there for about 10 minutes. Then we went inside the aquarium. I saw many things like the gift shop and fish and sea otters. I was ready to explore when my teacher said that we had to get our lunch out of the bus.

That got me angry because I said to myself why didn't they do that first. So we went to get the lunches and put them in a locker where you could store your stuff. You had to pay money to take out the key. Then we went inside the aquarium. The first thing we went to see were the sea otters. You could see them in the water or see the above on land. I decided to see them in the water. The sea otters did many things like jump out of the water and make a big splash. Then I went to see them above.

In the 6th grade, we went to Monterrey Bay at the end of the school year. At first we had to sell a lot of chocolate to help fund raise  the trip to it. After all the hard work, we had made our goal. I was really excited to go because it was my first time going to the aquarium. We had to go on a Saturday. Then we were off. All of my friends went. 

It was a really long drive because we left at 6:00 in the morning and I didn't want to wake up early. We had a rest stop and Los Banos. I had been at that place when I went to Mission San Juan Batista. Then we were off again. When we got to Monterrey  it was really cold and there was a lot of fog. It was a good thing I brought my jacket. When we got there, it was like 9:00. It was a really long drive, but I was happy that me and my class was at Monterrey Bay Aquarium.

I have never thought about joining the science bowl team. I kind of don't like science because it's hard to understand. When Mrs.Poole asked me to join, I didn't know what to do. She gave me a look at how to play the science bowl. It had buzzers. I knew how to play this because I played it at my trip to Fresno State where they asked us questions. She then told me how to answer. It was a little different than how I played at Fresno State.

She told me we couldn't talk during toss up questions and that we could talk during bonus questions. Then she said the narrator had to say your name like A4 first before you could answer. If you said your answer before he reads your name, it is called a blurt and you give the other team four points. I thought about it long and hard, and finally came to a decision. I decided to join because the winning team from the double elimination round gets to go to Washington D.C. to compete in the National Science Bowl. That made me want to join. Our competition is next week at Fresno State.

Mrs. Poole will be gone next week to go to Arizona. She was a little bit worried that she wasn't going to make it. I'm a little bit worried that she will not make it.

On Sunday will be Super Bowl 47. It will be the best Sunday ever. It will be the 49ers vs. the Baltimore Ravens. I want the 49ers to win because if they win, they will be tied for the most Super Bowl championships. I am preparing for this Sunday. There are so many things to do. We have to buy things for the big day.

It reminds me of past Super Bowls. Sometimes the team that I wanted to win would win and sometimes the team that I wanted to win would lose. I just hope that the 49ers win the Super Bowl and the Ravens don't. Every Super Bowl Sunday I help my mom and my dad help prepare the food. 

Today I played a game called Microsoft Office Ribbon Hero. This game was about how to use the ribbon on Microsoft. We have also done tutorials to help us use Microsoft the right way. I think that the Microsoft tutorials helped me learn more of the materials because it showed me how to do it. In the game it doesn't show you how to do it, but it gives you hints.

The tutorials will help me learn the material longer because I took notes on how to do things in Microsoft. Again in the game it doesn't show you how to do it. It only gives you hints, but it is more independent. You have to find out how to do it. Like my teacher says, struggle is good. Microsoft Ribbon Hero better transferred the learning because it gives you lessons on how to do the things you learned on the tutorials to real world problems.

The bowling alley and the arcade was the best part because it was really fun. I notice that a lot of people bought energy drinks and one of my friends bought one, but using my money. He gave me a five dollar bill back, but it wasn't the right change. When we got to the bowling alley, there were people already there. I decided to go to the arcade first because that place was the funnest. 

There were so many games to play that I was overwhelmed of what to play. I played this game called Tekken tag team and it was really fun. They also had one of my favorite games there, Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I played it with my friend and I kept beating him because I knew how to play. It was almost time to leave so I went to get something to eat at the vending machine. Then it was time to leave and I didn't want to leave, but we had to. 

I saw a lot of people getting energy drinks and I didn't know why. I went to get one myself and at the last minute because the teachers said to stop. We were on our way to the bus and I got a last look at Fresno State. I wished I was going to go here one day. Then we got on the bus and said good-bye to everyone and left. On the bus ride it was pretty crazy and when we were back in town everybody waved to everyone. My friend waved to a person and the person did something inappropriate. Well I didn't know what happened but I will miss Fresno State until I graduate high school.

I felt so happy because we won the quiz bowl. I've won the quiz bowl before for my team. We celebrated and danced around. Our prize was that we could pick first. Then the leaders said that everybody wins and that everybody could pick a prize. I felt great because everybody could pick a prize. So we went to pick our prize and I picked a Sponge Bob inflatable. 

When I came back, I was devastated. Someone had stolen my five dollar bill. It was in my folder, but when I came back it was gone. I didn't know what to do, so I asked my friends. They said they didn't know either. I started to suspect that one of my friends took it because they are always messing around and being bad. After that I just gave up and didn't want to look for it. After that we had lunch and the dinning hall. The food was always excellent as usual. Then we headed to our last stop which was the bowling alley and the arcade.

The match was about to start and I was nervous. I didn't want to eliminate my friends because they would be mad. I had to do what I had to do to get my group to the next round. When I started, I answered the two questions and got them right. I eliminated my group. The good thing was my group and I moved to the final round. This round was going to be hard.

My group was going against a group who had really smart people. I didn't fell confident because my group wasn't that smart. Then the round started. We had to get 20 points instead of 10. That was a real challenge. The first question was easy and got the first five points. The next question was hard, but one of my group members got the question right. The next question was even harder, and the other group got it. I didn't feel confident. The next question was easy and after that even easier and we won the quiz bowl.
